Children too are a gift from YHVH; the fruit of the womb is a reward. The children born when one is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. How blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; he will not have to be embarrassed when contending with foes at the city gate. Psalms 127:3-7

30 weeks

I am 30 weeks today! The final count down. It's very exciting to only have 10 or so weeks to go and i am sure the weeks will just tick past. School holidays start at the end of this week and the boys will be home for 3 weeks so by the time they go back I will be 34 weeks. I'm really looking forward to the holidays so our mornings can be a little slower!

I am actually feeling huge today. I feel like my belly grew heaps these last few days. She is still rolling around in there. I can feel when she goes breech and then back across. She obviously still has enough room to change position fairly easily so I'm not worried. It is quite different to feel hiccups right up near my ribs or right at the side! I can also see the shape of my belly change! Normally my babies are head down from 20 weeks!
I am feeling quite uncomfortable and am definitely feeling pregnant now. Sleeping is hard. Rolling over is hard and just everything in general is getting harder!
I have been feeling quite dizzy and weak and am still so tired. This has been my hardest pregnancy physically. I have never been this tired for so long! I just generally feel sick most of the time. Its not morning sickness and food is not a trigger its just all the time not feeling well. Makes it quite hard to get things done!
I have also had a few days of tears. I think the pregnancy hormones are to blame!
I am starting to get excited about having a new little baby. There are times when i am so excited just thinking of this new little person. I can not wait to meet her! I am hoping she has lots of soft hair. I am wondering what she will look like. I can't wait to smell that precious newborn smell that goes much too fast. I can't wait to see how her birth will go! I am still reading lots of birth stories and haven't been as scared just excited!
I have been having lots of braxton hicks and last night quite regular contractions which had me worried a little. I think maybe they just start earlier with each child. They went away when i went to bed.
I have a visit with Sonja tomorrow which I'm looking forward too.

29 weeks

I am 29 weeks! Its definitely exciting to be coming up to week 30! In some ways i can not believe that i am this far already! In other ways it feels as though i have been pregnant forever!

I have been reading lots of Ina May books and am so disgusted at the history of maternity care in America!
It makes me so angry that women and their babies (and husbands) were treated so badly by these men that called themselves obstetricians!

I went and saw the musical Mary Poppins this week with Ezekiel and his school. I think the baby loved the music as she was rolling around and kicking so much! It was also nice to spend some alone time with Zeke. So far i have had some one on one with Elijah, Bella and Zeke before the baby is born.
The baby has been having the hiccups a lot every day which i have always though was the baby practising swallowing but i have read somewhere that it is common for babies who have the hiccups lots to be born with reflux (i have had 3 babies with this) or worse that the cord is around the babies neck and they are being deprived so they are struggling?? I have never heard of this and even though i am sure its not true its still made me worry!
I have been toilet training Essence so we have only 1 in nappies when this little one is born. Some days she is great and others are full of accidents. I have thought of putting her back in nappies but she wont wear them now she knows what its like to be out of them! She can actually take her pants off and put them back on by herself.
I have felt much better this week as far as sickness is concerned but i am still extremely tired and dizzy at times. I have also had some pretty emotional (hormonal?) days where i have felt so overwhelmed!
I am quite sure her head is down now as her hiccups are low. I have also been feeling her little feet up under my ribs. She is favouring the right side these last few days. She is probably getting a little more squashed in there now!
All the kids have been feeling her kick or have the hiccups as its pretty much constant movement now.
Our bathroom is pretty much finished now. It is so so good to have a bath and shower again in our own house!
Once again I have no pic but I will try and put one up later :)

28 weeks

I am 28 weeks! Well yesterday i was.
Once again i have been sick. Im starting to think i may be sick forever :-( This time i think i may have had a chest and sinus infection. I have not taken antibiotics for 8 months so thought a dose might actually be helpful. Fingers crossed they will work and and i will hit 30 weeks well. It has really been a horrible time to be so sick with so many children to look after. I have so much to do and no energy to do it.
I remembered to take a picture tonight in the rush hour while doing dinner and baths etc.. my belly is growing and is quite round! I am still loving being pregnant even if i am sick. To have this little girl grow inside is amazing! I love her so much already. The girls are starting
to understand that soon they will have another sister. Belle knows that after winter she will be born.

I had heartburn for the first time this week. It was really mild though and i didn't need to take anything. So grateful that i haven't had it bad this time!
I felt her little head or bottom right up under my ribs for the first time. Usually all her kicks are under my belly button.
Things are crazy here at the moment so this is going to be super short!

Week 27

I am 27 weeks yesterday. Third trimester already! It's very exciting to be on the home run! It will still be a few weeks yet (hopefully) until it gets hard physically. I can't wait to start planning for her birth and getting all of her little clothes washed and ready. I also plan on cooking as many meals as I can so I don't have to worry about it for a while after she is born.
I haven't taken a pic this week (slack I know) but I did video her moving in my belly. She was jumping around so I grabbed my phone but of course she calmed down - but I did manage to get some movement. It is pretty boring but I really want to remember it! I will try and catch her moving again in a few weeks. The voice you hear in the background is 7yr old Elijah whinging and also the rugby on the television.
I think she has moved head down in the last few days as it feels different and I can feel her head (i think). She still has lots of hiccups and lots of movement. I am starting to feel little knees or little elbows sticking out now. I love being pregnant!
I have felt so much better this week. I am still really tired but not as sick plus I haven't had hayfever/sinus. I'm praying I stay like this for a while so I can get things done!
Not much else has been happening this week. I am feeling the extra weight and my feet are getting sore when i'm on them for too long. I've also had a couple of bad days with sciatica but it's bearable at this stage and only lasts for a day. I would love a massage! Hopefully soon!
I've had no real food craving except maybe for donuts but after having two yesterday and then not feeling great this morning i'm over that! I'm enjoying yummy fresh salads. I've had diet coke a couple of times this week just to help me stay awake!
I'm not sleeping great at night already and am not looking forward to getting worse :(
I've been having lots of braxton hicks. Especially when i'm breastfeeding Essence. Not sure if they started this early last time but it's definitely exciting although i'm very happy to keep her in there for at least another 10 weeks!

Week 26

I am 26 weeks (yesterday). This is a pic of my lovely clean house potty and all! Unfortunately my house gets pretty messy fast! And being a busy pregnant mama it takes a bit to get it clean!
Well bubba is growing and so am I! I haven't actually weighed myself for quite a while and am not sure if I will! She is still moving lots. Ewan, and Elijah got to feel her yesterday while I was laying down and they all got to see my tummy move! They were so excited. You can certainly see morw movement when you have a posterior placenta!
I have been feeling really sick though. Not exactly sure whats going on. I am extemely tired (more than really tired it's like total exhaustion) and feel sick. My legs feel weak and a bit like jelly (hard to explain). I am going to tge toilet lots at night even though I am not drinking at night (it was hourly the other night) so I am waking up feeling really dehydrated :(
Sonja came for my antenatal visit and tested my iron. It was actually really high (150+) which is a mans iron level so I am going to stop taking the iron tablets to see if that makes a difference. Apparently iron tablets can make some people sick. I'm going to stop taking the magnesium and liquid chlorophyll too and then wean them back in. If there is still no difference I will go and get a full bloods done. I am not coping being like this and really hope its not from being pregnant as I still have at least 14 weeks to go!
My blood pressure was a little lower than normal 90 or 95/60 which can make you tired so that could be it too.
Bubba is measuring 27 weeks which makes her right on track (give or take a couple of weeks) and she is laying slightly transverse which is what I thought. Her heartbeat was great. I borrowed two of Ina may Gaskins books which I am looking forward to reading.
I have been pretty emotional this week. I have even cried for a couple of days! It looks like Jay will be leaving to shoot a tv show in Darwin on 23rd of September. So I will either have a newborn alone with 6 kids or not have had the baby! I am so sure I will be going "late" again I don't want him to miss the birth. Either way it's not good :(
Our bathroom is being pulled out today so we will be without one for at leasy 2-3 weeks but after that we will have 2 toilets instead of 1! Exciting news for a pregnant mum!

Week 25

Well I was 25 weeks on Monday. Only 15 to go! I don't have a great photo to go with this post. I asked Jay (who is a photographer) to take a pic but it came out horrible and blurry because he was cooking toast and had to butter it while it was still hot! So Elijah took it for me.

Wow. I was just saying to Donna that I am feeling smaller this time but looking at the photo I don't look smaller plus this photo was taken in the morning before food! Lol
So obviously this little girl is growing!
We have had the throwing up virus come through the house this week. All the kids were sick. There were a few sleepless nights and mega loads of washing! Why is it everytime I start to get on top of things something happens and i'm back to the begining again?? The house is a mess! Last week my sinus/hayfever/cold finally started to ease off and then came back :( so having to deal with sick kids while feeling sick is not fun! I was suppose to meet with Sonja yesterday but had to cancel.

I am actually feeling ok pregnancy wise. My tummy is not big enough to cause discomfort although rolling over in bed and bending down is starting to become uncomfortable.
Baby is moving so much she hardly ever sleeps! I really believed that she would be gentle, soft and petite yet quite strong emotionally. A mixture between Elizabella and Essence but now I am wondering if I got that wrong! She is such a big mover. She is jumping around, rolling and kicking all the time. She has the hiccups at least twice a day especially at night when I am trying to get to sleep! I am actually waking up to her moving around so much! I still think it's amazing and the most wonderful thing to feel!

Week 24

I am 24 weeks today! Time is starting to move a little faster!
I am feeling a little better than last week. My cold is gone. The hayfever is still there but no way near as bad. I am still taking the vitamin supplements and have also added in liquid chlorophyll which Donna very kindly bought for me.
I am feeling less tired some days and still really tired other days. I'm not sure exactly whats going on but hopefuly I will have my energy back soon!
I am still really enjoying feeling this little one move around. The movements are getting stronger and have actually had a couple that have hurt already. Jay felt her move this week and so did Bella. Essence does every day but she doesn't know that :)
My milk supply has really dropped these last few weeks. My boobs have almost dissapeared! Essence is still feeding, though sometimes she gets frustrated that there is not much there. In a few months there will be though! I actually can't wait to have milk again!
I am really feeling the cold this pregnancy. Normally I get warmer in pregnancy but this time I seem to be colder??
I went to Donna's baby celebration on the weekend. It was a beautiful afternoon tea filled with love and lots of prayer for Donna and her little one. With our last 2 babies we have had a combined baby blessing but this time we are too far apart (8 weeks). I wasn't going to bother having a blessing this time around but am thinking of having one again. I was thinking how nice it would be to have an afternnon tea where everyone brings a meal or something to put in the freezer for after the baby has been born. Anyway thats just my thinking so far...
I still haven't really looked at names yet. I have a couple of ideas but am not sure if they are right yet. Something I will be starting to do soon.
