Children too are a gift from YHVH; the fruit of the womb is a reward. The children born when one is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. How blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; he will not have to be embarrassed when contending with foes at the city gate. Psalms 127:3-7

34 weeks

Yes I am in my pajamas here! I keep forgetting to take a photo so grabbed one of the boys to take one tonight after I had a bath!
I was 34 weeks yesterday!

I had a visit with Sonja today and everything looks great. Bubba is head down and we got to hear her beautiful heart beating away. My blood pressure is back to my normal 110/60 which is probably why I haven't felt dizzy for a while. My next visit is in 2 weeks. Things are getting close!

I braved the scales today. I haven't weighed myself in months but I was curious. It was good news I've only put on just over 1 kilo!

My rib has come back out. It's extremely painful and is making me quite a cranky mum. I don't have another chiro app until next week so I'm going to have to put up with it until then.

I'm still tired but not like before. I've started to get into the nesting phase and am trying to get things cleaned! This week I'm sorting out and washing all the baby clothes. I can't wait!

I'm still reading lots of birth stories and am thinking about the birth. I know I still have a while to prepare though.

I'm getting big and uncomfortable but am still loving being pregnant. It will be over soon and I know I'm going to miss it!

Zephaniah

Last Sunday I was able to witness a beautiful homebirth. Donna had a much quicker 7 hour and 40 minute birth and did an amazing job!
Donna and Kieran's gorgeous first son Zephaniah Simcha Edwards was born on Sunday 17th July. Each birth is truly amazing. To actually witness this miracle is such huge blessing. Thank you Donna and Kieran for letting me be a part if such a joyous occasion :)

Week 33

I'm 33 weeks today.

I have another cold :(

I had my pregnancy photo shoot a few days ago and will post pics soon.

I was privileged to attend the 4th birth of my dear friend Donna early yesterday morning. She did an amazing job giving birth to her first son! I will post pics and some more details soon.

I am getting bigger. I didn't realize how big until Jay took all the photo's!

I am still really tired.

I am starting to think about the birth but am still glad I have quite a few weeks left.

I am feeling lots of movement and am enjoying it!

I am not having as many Braxton hicks as I have been.

I had a visit (well 2) out to Oberon and realized driving is becoming uncomfortable!

I had my 2nd chiro appointment and am finding that it definitely works!

Week 32

I'm too tired to write this post!
I was 32 weeks yesterday!
This week has had a few problems! I woke up on Wednesday morning and realized I hadn't felt the baby move. Usually she wakes me up through the night quite a lot! It was about 5am so I lay there for a while wiggling my belly around trying to wake her up. She still wouldn't move. I started to get a little worried as I can always get my babies to move by doing this. I decide to get out of bed, go to the toilet and have a drink of cold water but still nothing. I went back to bed to see if she would start moving but no she didn't. I started freaking out and thought I'm going to have to go to the hospital and deliver a dead baby. I honestly started thinking she had died. I woke Jay up crying and freaking out at about 6am. He was actually quite comforting and asked if I rung Sonja? I decided to get up and give her a call. Ezekiel was already up so I was trying not to let him know I was upset but of course if you think your babies dead it's not exactly easy to hide! Once Sonja could actually understand me she suggested getting a glass of ice and cold water and skulking it down and then sit and see what happened. I did this and honestly within a minute of sitting down she started moving. What a relief! I cried again from happiness! She was obviously having such a good sleep! I've had no problems with her moving ever since. :)
On Thursday night I was grocery shopping when I started to get a pain in my right rib exactly the same as when I was pregnant last time. It feels as though your rib has been pulled out and is extremely painful. I was about 37 weeks when this happened last time and it didn't get better until after birth! The pain is there every time I move for more than about 10 minutes. So walking, housework, cooking everything except sitting back or laying down hurts! It starts off as an ache and then increases until it hurts to breathe! Sitting down relieves it (it takes about 15 minutes or so) and then when I get back up it starts again. My sciatica pain is totally bearable compared to this! I went and saw my first ever chiropractor today. She confirmed that my rib was out and was sitting either over or under (I can't remember) my other rib and was stuck. Apparently with all the pregnancy hormones this can happen if there is already a weakness there. She used a special hammer machine thing (I'm sure it has a more technical name) and got it back in. She cracked my back and neck and relieved some of the tension around my shoulders. I will be going back on Friday and again next week and hopefully that should have it sorted!

I have booked our accommodation for the birth conference which is only a little over 5 weeks away! I'm pretty excited and am looking forwarded to focusing on birth!

Donna sent my baby celebration invites out last week. I will need to post a pic as soon as I get one. Thanks Donna for doing these :)

I am still tired but have had spurts of energy to get some cupboards cleaned out. Unfortunately we have hade mice in the house so I've been busy making sure there is no mice poo around (I really really can not stand mice!).
The boys are on school holidays which is nice to be able to do things we want in our own time and not having to rush out of the house early in the morning.

I think there is still room enough for bubba to flip positions. Some days her hiccups are quite low in the pelvis, other days they are up around my belly button and some days right up under my ribs! It's certainly confusing and makes it hard for me to figure out which way she is laying!

I have moments of such excitement when I think about the birth and meeting her and also moments of fear! I'm definitely glad I still have 8ish weeks left to enjoy having her still inside.

I'm pretty sure I have picked her name out too but won't know 100% until she is born :)

31 weeks

Well I'm 31 weeks today!
I feel huge. I really feel like I have grown so much this past week. My belly is stretched and sore and I feel so full just from a glass of water! The pictures really don't show how big my belly is. Soon we will do a pregnancy shoot so my belly won't have clothes on it! I have never had proper photo's taken so I'm really excited that this time I will. Jay will be taking them.
3rd trimester uncomfortableness has certainly kicked in! I am being woken up with really bad heartburn every night. Also having bad sciatica pain down my left side. I have never had it this bad before. Enough to even fall over once so it's not fun. I am still incredibly tired but I guess that is it until the end now.
Even with all of this, pregnancy is so worth it. These last weeks are so exciting. Feeling the baby move around all the time. Even being woken up at night with movement is wonderful. Her movements have changed from lots of kicks to rolls and full body movements. A few times they have been really painful. Little elbows and knees sticking out. She has been head down for a few days now so hopefully she is getting into position.
I had a visit with Sonja this week. We heard her heartbeat nice and strong because she was laying in a great position. My blood pressure was up a bit 105/60 but still pretty low. Everything else is looking good.
She is still having the hiccups all the time so I hope she's comfy in there!
